Folks, it is confirmed. M. Kayveas is desperate for his own political survival. Out of desperation, he calls Gerakan President 'narrow minded'.
Now, he wants to assume merger talks only after Dr Lim retires. He said that younger leaders like Gerakan deputy president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon and secretary-general Chia Kwang Chye, he added, were more open to the idea of a merger. From an unofficial but trusted channel, these Gerakan leaders are merely being polite when they said they will consider his proposal.
Kayveas added “I am quite disappointed with Keng Yaik’s views, he is being narrow-minded on the matter. Perhaps, he thinks I will try to wrest a party post after merging with Gerakan."
I am sure Kayveas is only joking when he said "but don't kacau my seat in Taiping". Afterall, he is not interested in position.

This only shows that the future President has a lot to learnt from his current predecessor. Just look through the statement and not see the statements only.
Good luck to the future of Gerakan.
From the outlook, it will be better for the Tan Sri to look into the unbearable traffic jam of Penang first especially on Fridays evening rather than to spend time on the merger.
I am sure that the Tan Sri is a people oriented CM and will do anything that is good for Penang. As such, I will like to extend an invitation to drive him across to Prai on one Friday evening minus his police entourage. If he is lucky, we will make it there for dinner otherwise we will need to plan for supper.
We can discuss over dinner or supper on his observations during the drive across the Penang Bridge. I will also welcome his exco in the traffic management committee but my car can only take 3 passenger including him for a comfort drive as we need to prepare for the long journey.
