Kudos to Dr Koh Tsu Koon

Penang state executive councillor Datuk Dr Toh Kin Woon did not break ranks with the Barisan Nasional when he said he "disagreed with the country's leaders" on Sunday's illegal rally.

Gerakan acting president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon said the BN coalition comprised different parties with people of differing views.Koh, who is also Penang chief minister, said there was bound to be a diversity of opinions among and within each party."Otherwise, we are not a coalition.

I don't think Toh has broken ranks with the BN. He was just expressing his personal opinion.

"We are a democratic country and Gerakan is a democratic party," he said. (I hope he will stand by this statement in the future and I trust he would.)

I agree with Dr Toh too.

Looks like Gerakan officials likes to go into collision only when they are about to leave the top post. Its a cowardice act and pure opportunist. Buts thats typical Gerakan, a kiasu PAP trained party

You sounded so familiar. Like an old pal whom I know. I am part of Gerakan and I am not on my way out. Still a long way to go and I speak up loudly. Opportunist? Care to explain? A PAP trained party? On a second thought, not that bad at least Penang can be better run.

I think should add Lim Keng Yaik as the other dares to speak his mind out. After all he has everything in life and has nothing to loss even if he does not become a minister. That will be ideal for anyone wanting to contribute to the society upon achieving such position. Of course LKY can be loud and humourous but sarcastic at times.
