Pissed Over Pig Farm

Previously, I have a good impression of Information Minister Ahmad Shabery Cheek. He has made some bold moves and right statements since his appointment. Live telecast of parliament proceedings is one of them.

But this young minister has done a reversal on his recent comment about pig farming when asked about Anwar Ibrahim's statement that many Sabah Barisan MPs were ready defect to the Opposition.

He said:

"It's not that I want to play up racial sentiments with regards to the pig farming issues. But is this the priority issue of the government led by PKR? Does it mean that the whole issue being spoken about by PKR on a clean government and transparency starts with a pig farming project?" he asked.

This, the young minister said may cause some PKR MPs crossing over to BN. If this happens, then we should cry for Malaysia because politicians still cannot get over their communal stereotype and dogma.

Pork is a source of protein to many non-muslims. It is food, nothing else. If pork is not halal and offending to muslims, they should not stop others from consuming it. Just like polygamy is wrong to many morally upright non-muslims, in particularly Christians, but none of them is going to stop a muslim from doing it. We learn to accommodate one another because we come from different value systems, partly due to our religious background.

But what make Ahmad Shabery think that the Pakatan Rakyat government should not help to establish cleaner, environmentally friendly and modern pig farms in Selangor. Isn't this what the people wanted, observe care for the environment?

Ahmad may claim that his statement is non-racist but the fact speaks otherwise. Stop playing it before you are labelled as an old school UMNO leader. For a moment, I thought there is a bright spark from this new Minister of Information but hell he sounds like the old one. Maybe not, maybe yes?!? It depends on what he says next.

Metorphosis from a caterpillar to a butterfly is still in
a transcient state....It does not make one politican
to make the change...but the entire system..that inlude's opposition as well...How many time's Both BN and opposition party's (it include all party's exist in msia)...had to use some form of racial leverage...on each other...Pig Farm issue meant something for both chinese and malay..given the rasied eye-brows.. and hyped media attention...I guess it is too good let it go....right,he got his attention....but among the chinese it "signals" negative..or "reserved for later conclusion".He did started with "I am not a racist"....Pigs belive it it or not...it is in-thing now...Now selengor govt have to honor the agreement on Pig farms...this setting up of farms had actually delivered unexpected arsenel for the BN..or atleast the Umno camp...they know if Anwar ever wanna be the PM..he had to convince the malays...if he did it...it is "Game over" for the UMNO...so this being a sensitive issuse...I expect it
to be more polticisied and "Pig Farm Issue" Here to stay

Can a Muslim consume pork? Yes, if it's a matter of life & death.

Another statement regarding PKR from YB umnoputra, hardly anything new from an old school UMNOPUTRA little tinker box. That "Malay supremacy" rhetoric is already deeply glued to everyone of them, sad ~! The greatest travesty in Malaysia political landscape.

he might able to camourflage it for a while by saying all the right things initially but the fox can't hide his tail. it shows at the end of the tail.

didn't the book says it is okay to consume? didn't the book says in times of starvation and that there's the only food available?

as such it is unlikely that cute little piggy will disappear anytime soon. ultimately it could be the source of food mankind must rely upon to survive!

howz that?
