Muhyiddin, Learn Thou Shalt Not

Muhyiddin Yassin said: "Umno will fight to the last drop of blood to protect Malay rights, the status of the Malay Rulers, Bahasa Melayu and Islam as these matters are enshrined in the Constitution."

He said they would also fight to defend the rights of other races to ensure no one community would be oppressed.

He said the election also showed that the Malays had stopped supporting Umno, the Chinese were not supporting the MCA and Gerakan and the Indians were not supporting MIC and PPP.

He said the old unity and power-sharing concept that had brought development, growth, peace and stability in the country was now taken for granted.

Amazing, if only Muhyiddin study his own statement he should be able to find out why voters deserted the BN coalition.

First, his party and himself still cannot get over with race based politics. No one is threatening the Malays in the country. Globalisation is the main threat.

Second, the party continues to put other races at the bottom. The promise not to oppress the non-Malays is the biggest joke from a joker like our deputy prime minister. We are Malaysians and we are your bosses. As a Malaysian, I will vote against any UMNO candidate.

Finally, it is precisely the old political model that we have rejected. With leaders like Muhyiddin, no wonder this country at where it is now. No wonder BN and other non-UMNO parties will continue to face defeats in the elections.

That all bull talk just to please himself and his fellow members who

through dubious means,it makes you
wonder where they are there to serve

Muhyyiddin is still banking on the racial card to gain support. UMNO is just not learning from the 308-electoral set back. They tell their members openly that if they do not reform they will see more defeats to come. Was it lip service just for those Malaysian who used to support them, to change their mind and to have the feel good effect? I think so. The fact that some of the BN components parties are keeping silence does not mean that thay are not without concern. Being the components of BN they can only, as demanded by UMNO, be submissive. Former MCA boss, Ong Ka Ting, before his departure, made it very clear that UMNO dominates the BN. If racial politic is what UMNO wants and Malay unity is what they are seeking just to retain power, then which future direction will Malaysia leads to. A racilly polarised nation with more marginalisation of other Malaysian and conflicts? Is that what UMNO wants at the expense of national development and growth? Muhyiddin does not show himself to be a leader for all Malaysian. He is making a mockery of himself. By been a deputy PM , this is a dangerous statement from a man who profess to take over UMNO and the top job one day. Right in our presence, people are being oppressed by the police force, corruptions are rampants, the judiciary is in a mess and the MACC are run by people who are skewed and bias in their persecutions. This is what has become of this country run by corrupt and tainted politcians and their cronies for the last 50 years.

Finally, DPM shows his true colour, which is tainted with race-based ideology!

1Malaysia = WaningMalaysia

'Leaders' like our DPM don't even know when they are contradicting themselves, and always presume that the people to whom they are speaking are dumb.

Dear Khoo

I'm glad you see this fella as a joker.

I've had that sentiment about him too, especially after he occupied the DPM's office.

From the day he entered into Putrajaya, until today, I've not seen him come out with anything worthwhile mentioning. No mention of strategies of how to take Malaysia to the next level. All he seems to be spewing are race based comments. Remember what he said about the non-malays being ungrateful to the Gov'n in the Utusan interview a few days after he got "promoted"?

Yup. He's a joker alright. Can't imagine that he's next in line to the most powerful office in the land.

This dinosaur is expressing the usual Arabesque absolutism and superlatives:

"Umno will fight to the last drop of blood to protect Malay rights, the status of the Malay Rulers, Bahasa Melayu and Islam as these matters are enshrined in the Constitution."

How does he know how the future will change when it happens? He sounds like umno can hold up the sky!

If this isn't blardy hubris, what is?!

Well said.I can see BN losing bigtime in the next general election. We the non malays and the malays will continue to live side by side like families i we dont have BN.
They (BN) had contined to run this country with their divide and rule policies left behind by the British. One of the worst bastard that have ruined the country and divided the races is Mahathir.
It is too late for Najib to pick up the pieces.Everyday I see the political drama in the country,I dont see anymore hope with BN.The only hope I see is with a change of goverment that will bring in some light at the end of the tunnel.
To comment on Muyidin,I would like to save my time and energy.I short Muyidin is not the right person. He is the biggest idiot and a joke to the goverment.Im glad he is there so that they will fall faster.

The likes of Muhydin continues to shout wolf and conjure up non-existent bogeymen whenever support from the Malays are waning or whenever the non-malays are insistent on voicing up for what is decades of ill-treatement from UMNO ( read UMNO NOT Malays). By creating a climate of fear UMNO leaders hope to continue to keep people subservient so that they can continue to stay in power which means they can continue to plunder the nations wealth. hey Muhyddin, whose blood are you talking about eh? Your fellow rakyat's blood, I think you will run at the first sign of trouble. If when one day you are arrested on trumped up charges, blindfolded and an IGP comes and gives you a black eye and several kicks. Baru you tau. Come onlah, Minister, wake up to the new realities of politics, the ralyat don't go read UTUSAN anymore and get their news from the internet. Don't forget your misdeeds when you were MB Johore ok? Prove to us you have the capability to lead and start behaving like a future prime minister for all Malaysians instead of issuing worthless threats. Malays in particular and the rakyat in general don't need any bloodshed for whatever reason but we need leaders to be rational and engage those with difering views so that a consensus can be rached and actions taken fairly with the approval of all. Please read /listen tovi ews from both sides of the divide. I am actually not anti UMNO, as I know that there are UMNO leaders who are people with integrity and upright. That is why I am disgusted at those bloggers that use a broad brush and criticise generally. If one day the party is truly reformed, UMNO will regain the support of the masses again. There is no need to be so arrogant just because you are now in power. (that also you are not democratically elected)What if one day BN loses, all your statementss and misdeeds are now carefully recorded in the public domain and will come back to 'bite' you. There is now a push to return the votes to members to elect their president and vice president instead of the present delegate system. If you are still voted in on a popular vote, I will salute you. But until then whose blood are you planning to spill so that your bogeyman can be protected?

You talking about a EDUCATION minister who could not his English sentence right...you expect him to get anything that is Right right?

Isn't the DPM's racist speech similar to those given by numerous other UMNO members, short of waving a keris plus bathing it with the Chinese blood ?
Isn't it to catch the Malay votes at the Chinese expense ?
His speech is from the mouth that is full of racism that his mouth speaks ?

UMNO is a one trick pony. With 'leaders' like Muhyddin, is there any wonder?

Didn't they promise reforms after the mauling in the last GE?

The Penquin said...

Yes, he is not in any way diplomatic in his statement. Using the word 'blood' indirectly denotes violence and threats. It will be race based politics and corruption that will bring down UMNO and BN. Who is threatening Malay rights ? Aren't politicians the ones that are destroying the unity of the races ? I am not a supporter of any political party but those in power must show maturity, must take appropriate steps to weed out corruption, must not use race as an issue to promote themselves and must perform with positive results in the interests of the people. Malaysia must move forward as we have been left far behind, even in the field of sports.

You're right, Kay Peng. They, especially this joker will never learn. No one who is afflicted with the "Emperor's New Clothes" syndrome can ever learn. This is because they DON'T WANT to learn.

Tengku Abdul Rahman and Hussain Onn Jaffar are the only true Prime Ministers of Malaysia. The rest are PMs of UMNO.

Its always the same of shit about race. They are so fond of using the race card and think that's the only way to gain support from the Malays. The most important thing in their mind is their race. The others can go to hell for all they care after all they consider immigrants who are a nuaisance them.

UMNO treat this country as if it is theirs. No one, not even PAS should challange them because UMNO is the rightfull owner of this country. Anyone who challanged them are a threat and must be ISAed.

Day by day our country is going down hill. Unless we can find calibre leaders to lead us we are definitely doomed. I hope and pray the day will come when we have real LEADERS of the quality of Mr. Obama, President of the USA.

2. Doesn't he know why Malaysians of all races don't support BN & gang anymore or is he gonna act suprised about it.....???

4. Doesn't he think or know that we, "Malaysians" have brains that we use & eyes to see...???

Do we need to act "surprised" of our ignorance like what he did for the "English" language...?????????

What does DPM mean by "defend Malay rights, ....with the last drop of blood" and his next satement that he will defend the rights of the others races?
Since he defends all Malaysians, why should he departmentalise the racial groups? Is he a true-blood racist showing his true colours?

And what is the big idea of UMNO-Pas Umity talks ? So, this si teh Malay agenda ? All the otehr compoent Parties do NOT count! So, BN components, beware !

Also, Pas, beware! This is a Trojan horse, clothed in double, if not triple, jeopardy!

He is still in the old mould; and as they say,you cannot teach an old dog new tricks!

Voters will take note of his true colours! They will not be fooled!

There seems to be so much concern amongst certain parties about the need for Malays unity. This issue is being played up by mumerous pro-UMNO bloggers. Who says the Malays are not united? They are united by a common culture, religion etc. What has happened is that differtent Malays support different political ideologies/parties - that's all. And there is nothing wrong with this. In the US, Blacks, Whites, Asians etc support either the Democrats or the Republicans. However, this does not mean that they are not united as a nation. UMNO and its supporters need to grow up.

Did anyone noticed Muhidin also commanded Perak civil servants to serve Barisan Nasional govt?

Can someone please tell him and make sure it enters his puny brain that neither Barisan Nasional nor Pakatan Rakyat owns Perak civil service. The civil service are to serve all Perakians, NOT Barisan Nasional nor Pakatan Rakyat.

I wonder if he has enough savvy to really understand the concept of "Globalisation"...? Being a product of the culture of mediocrity and a believer in racial rights, this evolving paradigm shift in cross border economic, social and cultural landscape would have escaped him. It would be expecting too much for him to recognise globalisation and its opportunities and threats to Malaysia. As to the few Umnoputras still harping about racial rights and superiority, recognise that your warped political interpretation of the well meaning but supposedly finite NEP has crippled 2 generations of Malaysians and killed the comparative advantage that the country had in the 70s. So please make statements that address the nation's ills and not those that are self-serving. Do not make malaysians ashame.

I think it is still too early to tell whether UMNO/BN will be defeated come next GE. Though they are racist but Pakatan state government have not proven to be competent and caring for the poor as far as Kampung Buah Pala is concerned. In fact for me the Penang Pakatan is no different from the previous and current BN government. If there is no different, why vote Pakatan?
