A few days ago, I received a sms from a friend informing me that she has received an approval for her migration application to the US. Without hesitation, I called her up to congratulate her and reminded her to appreciate this opportunity.
She has three school going children and it is not going to be easy for her, in her mid-40's, to uproot her young family from Malaysia to settle somewhere thousands of miles away. Thousands of Malaysians are probably doing the same yearly.
Many of them decided to leave because all options have run out. They decided to leave because they do not see a future for their next generations in this country. Friends who left their cushy jobs to migrate do so because of their children. Not for their own comfort.
This is why I have asked many friends this question, "how many five years do we have in our life time?" How many five years can we afford to wait for real change to happen? Not that many. I have just shared with a friend that life is like a ticking time bomb. We not not know when it will go off.
The only thing we do not have in ample amount is time. Yasmin Ahmad did not expect to leave us so soon. Beng Hock did not expect not to walk out from the MACC building alive. That is why we cannot expect to wait forever for a real change to happen.
Hence, I have been critical of the opposition PR leadership. Its leaders should be made aware that whatever promises they made to the people will be held against them should they come into power one day. This is already happening in the four states ruled by the PR government. People will hold them accountable for the reform promises.
Unfortunately, I have come to realize that it does not pay to be critical in this country. We are still too keen to put a label on a critic - either he is anti-establishment or a BN lapdog. Only when this society becomes genuinely interested in real progress and reforms that criticism can be fully accepted as a constructive action.
If we want this country to improve, we need to become constructive critics. We need to demand for the best and responsible governance.
At this moment, the price to pay for being critical is huge. Many organisations, companies and individuals would do their best to avoid any link with critics although they may not necessary disagree with their views. They fear public persecution. They do not want to be stigmatized.
However, if there is no effective check-and-balance mechanism this country may turn for the worse. Many once developed and wealthy societies had lost their wealth, influence and glow. They lost it all to poor governance, corruption, power abuse and brain drain. Can this society and local companies afford to face the same situation?
How many of us are standing just inches away from the growing list of migrants? How many parents are quietly whispering to their children to stay back overseas once they have completed their studies? How many of us are feeling less hopeful that this country can become a great nation? How many of us are beginning to accept that racism is a permanent fixture of this society?
How many five years can we afford to lose for continuing to tolerate and accept our fate that things will NOT change?
Let me ask you sincerely how many critics can you afford to lose until a day when no one is left to speak up for you anymore?
It is weird that I did not feel guilty asking my friend to be grateful for her successful application to migrate to a country much more superior and democratic than us.
Is it something wrong with me or it is this country?

Something is very wrong with the country.
Are we ready to sacrifice ourselves for the sake of future generation?
There must be changes and first option is to kick the BN/UMNO out and just a few more years but if we fail then its time to pack up and leave this country as it will be hopeless to stay.
You know and I know that nobody wants to live under the present leaders but we have no choice unless your are Mukhriz, KJ and the cronies where money is no problem.
Synergy brother!!! we need a revolution in Malaysia. As a Malay I can't take the bullshit from people in power anymore. Not a single minister in the cabinet deserve to be respected. Do I have a choice? Hope to see you on 1 Aug in the much awaited gathering in KL- Mansuhkan ISA!!! Kita Lawan tetap Lawan brother.
Well I have two children who graduated in the US.
One returned just to be with us for a few years before she returns for good to the States.
The other is there and I have told her not to return to this Bolehland where witnesses die in police lock ups, students dies during NS training and Malays tell us that we are pendatangs while surviving on the taxes paid by us.
Why should pendatang contribute our talents to the Indian-Indonesian -turned-Bumiputras who treat second class?
Most importantly, why stay in a country where the political party in power, civil service, police, Macc, AG, Judiciary unite against the people to preserve and protect a one-race rule?
This country is administered by utterly morally bankrupt men with no integrity nor a soul.
Yes, tell them to leave this beautiful country which is going to the dogs.
It's not just you..
There's something wrong with this country.
Not you, KKP...!!!
We are also planning to leave. We are professionals. Our expertise are required worldwide...!
We are also doing it for the sake of our children. We gave our country a chance for many, many years......
We just wanna earn an "honest" living. Yet.... we are given a hard time..!
It's ok KKP. We have the means & resources to migrate.
Let them wait till the country is "completely" brain drain.
Only then they will move their "butt"......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In a life time I've to keep on adding 5 years on top of that......!!
That's my answer..!
nope bro, nothing wrong with you. we should be critical to all political party. PR has what it takes to drive a stake through BN but if left unchecked, they will inavertable turn out to be another BN after they have taken over Federal G.
Look from another point of view, though the biased policies, Malaysia do gave us a chance to survive and have some basic right like education, job etc to enable us to equip ourselves to accumulate capital and skill for her to qualify for migration to US. US don't just take in anyone who wish to migrate there, they too are selective. If you don't achieve certain standard in term of skill or financial status, they won't take you.
Migration don't just happen in Malaysia, even Singaporean are migrating to US and Australia as well.
It is the human natural instinct to look for something better. Given the chance there are millions of people want to migrate to Malaysia as well even though without the so called democracy in this country.
Its certainly not your fault. I'm only 17 year old and trust me, many of my friends in college have also expressed their keen desire to search for greener pastures overseas: Singapore, Australia, UK, etc...I feel sad that even the younger generation are feeling like this. These people are supposed to lead the nation one day and the only thing in their mind is to search for a better life elsewhere. So sad...truly, 5 years means a lot. Somehow, our ramblings in blogs aren't gonna bring much change. I don't know what to do...are we making a change actually?
Nothing wrong with you, Khoo Kay Peng. Many Malaysians have given up hope for a better Malaysia. Those with young families, those who are young and mobile, can and will move if they discern things are unlikely to improve. Why stay and suffer for a lost cause for it is only too obvious Malaysia will continue to slide given its current leadership. That is why we make enormous sacrifices for our children ; financial, emotional and otherwise. One day, even you too may have to make a most difficult choice. There are days when things seem so hopelessly pessimistic in Bolehland that you want to make a fresh start somewhere else.
Hi Khoo, 75% of my cousins are living abroad. They are more insightful than many of us. They emigrated in the 1970s. For what? For who? The answer is for their children's future.
Yes, how many 5 years can we wait? But very sad, a lot of us are still sleeping, not all of us are awaken esp the people in Sabah and Sarawak. They are so simple and they are so naive, every 5 year you give them one lolly, they are happy.
Khoo, how to solve their problem? How to make them wake up from their slumber??? It took Penang people 18 years to realise that they have been cheated...
Truly, I thank God for you. God bless !
P/S You know i said the same thing to Datuk Sri Wong Choon Wai before. I thank him for being bold and vocal and i also thank God for him but see now, what had happened to him, a BN agent. Sigh sigh sigh !!!
I am indeed sad that our country has come to such a sad stage after being given more than 50 years for Bn to rule and bring us to a better tomorrow. Look at other countries who had overshot us in economy status and also world standings.....our BN leaders only care about enriching their pockets and continue to create racial tensions but then use the excuse tyo have a tighter grip on power...and now even extended their grip by usning the PDRM, MACC and even at times, the Judiciary to oppress the people....so much so its seen as the extended braches of UMNO/BN
AS a Malaysian, born and bred in Malaysia...it doesnt matter if I am a Chinese by race but I will stay back to fight and to offewr my help to the change in this country we are seeing in the hopes of a change in the govt. To me, I have the hope to see this change and not to run off to another country where I will be nothing. At least I can join in the fight and even if the change may take time, I am very confident that the change will come...no matter how long it takes.
This is my country and I shall stay here and be buried here when I die. I am proud to be a Malaysian but not proud of my present govt which does not protect the people but instead bullies and robs the people.
The non-malay talent flow to Singpore has contributed in part to what Singapore is today.
At the rate, this talent is flowing out of our country, it won't be long before Malaysian girls flow in the footsteps of their Indonesian sisters - maids to the world.
Where we are heading is best reflected in the strength of our ringgit which has been in a structural decline for the past 30 years and is certainly going to continue down the spiral when our oil reserves run out.
AL
there's nothing wrong with our blessed country...but just only wrong government.....like most us in the working class....time is certainly running out for most us who are neither rich or with right qualifications to migrate and start-over again in another country....what else can we do now except to slog hard every day of our remaining working lives(without any crutches) and trying very hard to save the most to invest in our kids education .....so that they stand a slightly better chance to migrate in their lifetime...as the situation is expected to detriorate in the next 20/30 years....so as many good friends advice me....stop dreaming and wake up......dont wait for change.... do justice to your kids future....prepare them for the worst and hope for the best....
There is absolutely nothing wrong with you, bro.
What we have in our society, be it the business bosses or politicians across the divide; is a problem of ego.
They want boot-lickers, they want YES-man. Anyone who has a differing view is seen suspiciously.
Still I believe that we should all press-on with our POSITIVE n CONSTRUCTIVE Criticism and observations.....
There is still a light at the end of the tunnel and true, there is not many 5 years in one lifetime.
Lets Change It!
If not because of family members and commitments associated with this, I would like to migrate to oversea as well.. hopeless for this "1Malaysia"!!
Do you really not feel guilty at all? How do you do that? I have been thinking of the topic of migration for 15 or 20 years. And you asked here "how many five years do we have'. It used to be, each time, my tears roll down when I think of leaving this country which my grandfather came all the way from China to settle down with and had his children, grand children.. I betrayed him if I were to leave the land he decided for his descendants. But lately, i seem to make peace with him: he passed away for almost 40 years and it is that long that we have tried just to conclude that it is my turn now to find a good country for my descendants! More correctly, let our children find a good land for their children.
For 15 to 20 years, the reason of having a bad government is not valid enough; because we have hope that we could change the government. But the cruel fact now is there is a majority who have been living with us for 50 over years DO NOT wish us stay! This is the group supporting the current government. Yes, finally, all options run out. We are planning to migrate soon. This is the easier way and also the saddest to the country- our children are all professionals and they have returned to try serving the country before heartbrokenly made this move. I'm not crying anymore.
I don't agree to those who's has migrated are making a wise decision. They should remains here and give a vote to support the change that may be happened, If you run away from problems that's mean you've lost the competition.
YES U SAID IT RIGHT!
WE SHALL HAVE ONE MORE OPTION
SINK WITH IT!
MANY WILL LEAVE
MANY MORE WILL GO
BUT THERE ARE OTHERS WHO WILL FIGHT ON TILL JUSTICE PREVAILS!
AM ONE OF THEM
SAY AND DO THE RIGHT THING
WE SHALL ALL BE WINNERS ONE DAY!
There's nothing wrong wid u KKP. Our country is on the way down, thanks to our corrupted & useless leaders. I myself truly believe this nation can be a great one if its people, led by its leaders, are committed to it. I didn't whisper to my son; I told him outright that I want him to stay abroad after he finishes his overseas education. But how many people can afford to do that? As I see it, his less well-to-do cousins will probably stay back in Msia.
From concerned citizen:
I fully agree Mr.Khoo, without you people(who comment constructively), our nation will not see light at the other end of the tunnel.
There are all these extremists who are out to destroy what good that is doing to the well being of the nation. They are the people who are lazy, hope to get paid without effort being put in(remember there is no such thing as free lunch without sweat and labour, even the leaders of the nation need to work to perform in order to stay as leader).
Its' not you, its the country. Its gone to the 'dogs' in a matter of speaking.
To those who intend to migrate, if you ask the Pro-government advise, they definitely said grateful to you to go ahead. If you ask a person who is NEVER SAY DIE ATTITUDE, definitely he will ask you to stay and fight until your last minute because this country belong to all Malaysian. Never retrieve from a battle unless you prefer to give-up as a loser..
something is terribly wrong with this country.
if you're a malay,criticize=pengkhianat bangsa!WTF?
a non-malay=pendatang...
crazy.
I can only hope God will pull their plug ASAP.Sadly, the goods ones are gone.
Too many deaths in custody is proof that the country is not in order.
Just migrate, if possible, it will be positively better for your children than in Bolehland.
I did think about applying to migrate; not so much because I've loss faith in our Government but because I wanted what's best for my kids in terms of giving them the best education we as parents must provide.
Yes, I agree that we don't have too many '5 years' and sadly enough no one has a crystal ball that can see thru the future. We as M'sians must work together but before that can happen, racial lines must be erased. One needs to be color blind and see beyond race and religion. Until we can accept this, there's always another '5 years'.
I am 50+ and if given the opportunity, I'd leave, quick as a flash because I'd very much rather take up the enormous challenges of an uncertain but level playing field than venture timorous and timid amidst barriers and threats at every turn, albeit in familiar terrain.
UMNO is pulling out all the stops to retain power. Henceforth, there is nothing it will not do. There is no soundness left, only the unflinching desire to remain in power.
Sad truth is, the captains of industry, the Kuoks, Yeohs, Tans, Lims, Cheahs, etc., all these leaders and icons are keeping quiet while misgovernance awash and swirl in all areas of administration of this country. Perhaps they are comforted by virtue of their seclusion and insulation. Or they need such an environment to flourish.
Truth is, when there there are no more low hanging fruit, they shall become the next targets.
Only the Malays themselves can save this country. If they rather not, then one should not feel remorse nor guilt in leaving or encouraging all and sundry to strike out for the sake of our children.
hi Khoo,
right on and i believe there nothing wrong with you! i too have pack to leave and got my papers for canada. Together 3 families (close friends) 12 of us will migrate come January 2010.
my kids who are in golf (junior) are being offered scholarship just with their achievements, without being sons of the soil.
its sad but like all parents i know, i convinced all my nephews and nieces not to come home after their studies and 5 of them are now working and staying in various countries. my in-laws, my sisters and next is me. i've promise my 2 brothers if ever their kids are heading abroad for studies, send 'em over to canada.
My father took 7 bullets while serving 36 years for this country which he believed was his in hope to see his children someday will benefit what he didn't! Before he died he said "Go son! Maybe you will suffer but your children will certainly be equal". Don't know what is in store for me over there. i'm giving up my bungalow, bmw and golf club membership, at 45, i may end up as a waiter over there for all i know. i will nevertheless work as hard as any malaysian is capable off. with "hope" on one sleeve and my heart on another, i pray they will not see my dark skin and religion......one thing for sure, i will not require connections, cables or political cloud to sell my ideas.....god bless the beautiful country i grew up in which lost its soul along the way and its peace loving god fearing people. God bless
US should be a good place - it is overwhelmingly an immigrant country. And ther's chinatown there too. Alas no Indian and Malay town there, or anywhere else for that matter, sigh. hmm no vernacular school there too, so whether u r black or yellow you think and behave like the white majority. you can also tell off the whitees if they think US belongs to them, they r immigrants too. Bye....
TrueMalaysian
Kalau awak tak suka awak boleh keluar dari negara ini, tak ada siapa halang awak.....famous rhetoric from famous umno warlords scoring a lot of points..
bro khoo,
my priority at the moment as a citizen of this country is to ensure the removal of BN government come next GE.
i believe that PR needs all the support it can get from the people against steroid-driven BN gov(complete misuse of gov machinery+media+judicial+police).
as long as BN is up there, there will be no fair game, there will no justice, the field is never square and there will only be 1 goal post.
i have high hopes for short term, and i rest those in the hands of PR. the long term hopes depends on the success of this short term goal, the removal of BN.
therefore, i will throw 100% support to PR until PR makes the playing field level again. after that, i will see who will offer the best option for our future
It's you dude. You are always totally wrong. If all chinese in Malaysia are thingking like you, well, every single chinese will migrate.
Do you know what's wrong with you?. You are totally racist, but you cover it; deep inside your heart. You are totally racist!!!
Dear KKP,
You have been a source of encouragement to many, one of them is myself who like you, love this country too much to feel good about it at this time. Sometimes we become lethargic in hearing so many "naseuating" words and actions being bandied around, said and acted by many people, be it politicians or journalists or bloggers. I think we have put too high hopes on the people who run this country, expecting them to do miracles when they are inherently tied up with their partisanship politics. They can change but it may take time. Since the last general elections, I have seen improvements albiet a slight change. There is still hope! Remember, Malaysia is still fairly a young country and things are furiously changing after GE 12. I urge you sincerely to continue with your onslaught of articles and comments because our country is sadly lacking people like you. You have made differences already and your children may perhaps see a great nation emerging!
RON, Kuala Lumpur
Something definately wrong with you.
We all reap the fruits we sow. Many of our generation did very little in the public domain. When times were good, people were complacent and greedy. They concentrated on making money. They were willing to keep an eye shut when the ISA is used on a small number of people making trouble and affecting their business.
They were willing to accept corruption if they were benefiting from it. They were willing to ignore racism when money is flowing into their pockets.
When bad times come, people say things are hopeless and they leave.
Being critical is one thing. Being constructively critical is a little improvement.
I think we need full engagement.
Even the Malays are leaving. With all the bumiputra rights skewed in their favour they also are leaving. Simply because this country is corrupt and those in government positions are incompetent and corrupt. Leading Malaysia no way but only one way down. They have eyes to see, ears to hear, brains to think. They know this no longer the place they used to know and loved. It is going to the dogs once our oil runs dry
I'm one of many loyal readers of this blog.
I wonder why you have not give it up yet.. this blog I mean, not your nationality;)
Sincerely
Arif
I hate this country.
critics are keyboard heros.
talk very can, do work can not.
stop talking and do some work la Kay Peng.
People,
wait until the next general election. For the first time in history, we have a 2 party system. PR may have its faults but it's still the lesser devil compared to BN. I believe the next g.e. will see BN voted out and a more equitable society arise under PR. If it doesn't happen by next g.e., then by all means GO!
Kenny
no choice bro, BN tak boleh, Pakatan tak boleh, so then how? don't tell me wait till the ship sinks or when the petrol runs out?
We didnt invite u here in the first place, so u can just leave. No need to say goodbye either bcause we never welcome u
Another debate on 'to migrate or to stay', 'to throw in the towel and leave or to struggle on and stay','to have a better life elsewhere or to suffer forever here'. There will always be pros and cons, but we should be honest with ourselves on why we would want to migrate. There is really no need to list out all the 'grievances' to justify the flight out, just to make our conscience feel better. There is no need to say that we are really 'forced' to migrate or that it is for the sake of our children. Just do it - no need to give excuses. But do remember how is it that we are able to have the means, qualifications, experience, etc to migrate. I am sure, directly or indirectly, we benefited from the system. Things may not be ideal here (no place on earth would be anyway, not even US) but, somehow, we have survived and done quite well. And do remember many of us who are not so fortunate and cannot migrate - those peddling pirate DVDs, those pasar malam petty traders, those trying to sell you credit cards in the shopping complexes, those IT salepersons in Low Yat Plaza, those sales assistants at shopping malls, those mechanics in car workshops, etc, etc.
I also recall a real scene when I was holidaying in Los Angeles last year. I was waiting early in the morning for the tour coach to arrive at this place where there were many Asian migrants staying. There was a MacDonald restaurant hereby and I went there for a quick breakfast. And there I saw a about dozen elderly Chinese speaking residents there having breakfast, taking their time and chatting. I went there again next morning, and I saw some familiar faces. So, that's a migrant's life in LA - having breakfast at MacDonald everyday! Good Luck to those who go!
Critics should not be viewed as negative. They should be looked at as people who are responsible, who love and want the best for their country and its citizens.
Loving and wanting the country to progress and be free from corruption, racialism, segregation etc. are just being patriotic and loyal to their motherland, Malaysia.
The authority should appreciate that they are Malaysians like Mr. Khoo Kay Peng and others who are very concerned about what is happening in this country. Have given their frank opinions as to what should be done to improve the political setting, governance and other related matters.
These are constructive suggestions and are the result of feelings and unhappiness of Malaysians over government policies and practices.
Critics can also be described as barometers for development of events in the country whether good or bad. It would be sound advice therefore, to take note of their readings.
Lastly, the most effective method to lessen criticisms is for the government to right the wrongs which have already occurred and to prevent those yet to be implemented.
By doing this, the government will win the respect of Malaysians and prove that it is truly serious in wanting to make its governance of Malaysia a transparent and people oriented one.
Wahh... fair comments u guys but stoop so low and ungrateful as to blame the Malays for yr woes.
Bapak Cina tapi saya Melayu... yey
Hi, after reading through all your comments, i feel so sad and tears almost roll down. I feel like crying...
I am a PR of New Zealand but I came back few years ago.
Actually, it really does not matter where i live becos I have no children and I am almost 50 now.
Yes,I too, encourage my nephews and niece to study pandai pandai, go overseas for further studies and dont come back again UNLESS there is a change of govt.
Let us throw our support for Pakatan!!! Pakatan is not perfect, it has many faults as well but still no matter how worse it is, it cant be worse than that corrupted BN.
It warms my heart to see so many likeminded people here (in this blog).
There is nothing wrong with this country. this is a beautiful country we are living in. It is the best in the world. we do not have any natural disaster like earth quak, typhoon etc like in other countries. what is WRONG is the corrupted leaders we have who are spoiling it and even ruining this beautiful land of ours.
I have a bumi friend who had just migrated to down under. His reasons for doing it was he dont see any hope as far as oppotunities are concern. and he is doing it for his children's sake.
I used to critizised people who are quick to migrated to other land in the past, because I thought there is still hope , but not anymore. now if people says they are going for greener pastures I fully suport them and even encourge them to do so. not many of us are fortunate enough to migrate , so for those of us who are left behind we can only prayed that some miracle will happen and there will be a CHANGED and our future generation will not suffer the same fate we do. GOD BLESSED MALAYSIA!
the reasons put forth by everyone for migrating are very compelling. as the world becomes more globalized, the free flow of human traffic becomes so much easier. the best managed countries not only attract talent but also a whole array of people because you need every type of skill to oil an efficient economy. you cannot just have doctors, you also need street cleaners.
whether you are a hobbesian or jeffersonian, the human spirit aspires to do well for both him/herself and its family. only in a country with just laws + freedom of choice, will one be able to bring out his/her best to enjoy the fruits of his labor.
i support your reasons to migrate. however, i also urge everyone who has migrated, to do the country where you are born in, a service. please do come back and vote in the next ge. you owe it to those who are not able to migrate, a vote for change, and to enjoy the sunshine which you have flown off to. 1 vote may not make a difference, but with your collective votes, which number into the 500,000, you can and will make a difference.
Let's put it this way: if there is general election EVERY year, many more who have left, would have stayed!
My whole life, I believed my one vote is very important to make the changing. But, as said, when all options run out, I feel really foolish- how can one vote influence the 60% of total votes?
Migration is never a proud thing in life. Because not much good to tell in your answers to the question you are going to face thereafter in your life: why did you migrate?
So, would you look down on people who have to 'run away' from their war torn country? Would you say: they should 'fight till the end'?
I agreed we are 'running away', not very proud, but also nothing shameful, because we are prepared to 'start again' an uncertain life; because we are running from being surpressed and compromised our basic rights in our homeland!
Shame on all those who have left and also those who will be leaving....you all are just taking the situation to be an excuse to leave. By all means go!!! WE dont need cowards like you.
Our forefathers came all the way from China, India, Indonesia (Toyol) to try find some money for home but somehow settled down here and became part of Malaysia's family and we are mostly born and bred here.
If we have the same spirit of leaving but apply into staying and fight for our rights irrespective of the repercussions, we shall see big changes coming. We did that in GE12 and aim to do better come GE13. Where are you guys? Leaving and be a coward and then sent unwanted comments from your new home country?
I would say, you will not be welcomed. Same priciple as Hindraf Tai Kor.
Really sad....but its ok...we will live for another day and stay to fight till the last drop of our blood as we are Malaysians.
While I believe many of your readers agree and appreciate your forth right viewpoints and analysis , your lengthy arguments do nevertheless seem over repeated , which again is the forte of consultants ie of making simple things complicated.
Our country's main problems are of low grade politicians of which many have dubious integrity and are corrupt. But nobody dares to say it openly
1. they do not have concrete proof and many just dunno
2. lest thy be slapped with libelous and seditious laws or something bad will befall them or their family.
Highly paid consultants to our present helpless gomen can only do one thing , give false PR and bulshit to earn their keep, just like many of those Senior editors , & journalist currently comfortably employed , Nobody cares too hoots about tomorrow. Rip the country off first before it becomes koyak and they know it
Migrants shall always remain migrants, good riddance
We dont need chinese like you here, no balls. Just because Malays tell you to fly kite and leave this Tanah Melayu or Malay Archipelago, you bolt. U think the white embrace u with open arm? No way, the first thing China cause trouble they'll round u up like dog and pigs. Malays are now too split to think far and even if no split they are too forgiving and we can take advantage and screw them left right centre. See today they demonstrate at our instigation, easy to deal with these natives hahaha
KKP, I have been watching from a distance and want to let you that I, for personal reasons, still care for my people I left behind some 20 years ago. I did not leave for economic reasons; I left like many who could not see any further change for better in Malaysia and could not fall in line with the government policies. For any migrant, it was not easy pie to pack up the family to live in another country. There were so many adjustments to make and humble pies to accept career wise. For those of us who have been successful, we hold our heads high and all the sacrifices we have made are worthwhile. Meanwhile it is sad to know the situation in Bolehland is worse than when we left. By our humble experience and exposure living in another country has taught us to see more of the injustice in Malaysia. In reflection we are fortunate to be living in a more democratic society.
It remains democratic but try shoving vernacular school idea there?
