If I were PM, I would always engage the opposition, invite them over for teas every now and then whenever the needs (Problems) arise, to diffuse unnecessary problems later.In this way, the rakyat can see and judge his sincerity meaning more support for the government.At the end of day,the opposition is left with nothing to bark on.

The 1 Aug march is an indication of the receptiveness of the 1M slogan. The creator of this slogan should take heed from this day. 1M as it seems, is created by whimsical sweetened handouts. How about giving back to Malaysians their true democratic rights? The ISA is currently against these rights.
Let BN keep their ISA. The People will keep on exercising their rights, till this draconian rule is torn down, along with the BN.
1) All racist newspaper editors reassigned to other place where they cannot spew their venom and hatred and infect young Malaysians with their venom and hatred.
2) Abolish car import/export AP monopoly
3) Replace racial affirmative action with class based affirmative action
4) Suspend taxi drivers for a long time that refuse to use the meter
5) Arrest and charge UMNO leaders (not followers or small fry) with corruption being proven by the UMNO disciplinary board in the recent UMNO elections
6) Give MPs elected by Malaysians a greater say in DBKL governance and have local council elections
7) Start a national trust fund overseen by a large body of top and respected figures to collect RM1 from every working Malaysian every month for charitable causes (e.g. orphanage, cancer research, heart institute, poor people not enough money for operations & medicine, roads and electricity for rural areas, mobile clinics etc.)
And lastly when people want to have a peaceful rally, let the protesters coordinate with the police on the route and time limit. Once the demo is over and memo is handed everyone disperse back home. No untoward incidents, no tear gas and chemical water, no need close down Jalan TAR/Sogo/Pertama, no traffic jams on Friday & Saturday, no LRT station closed, no businesses affected. Wouldn't you say that is a win-win for both PR and BN?
When we vote in the Opposition at the next GE we will wrap up a copy of the ISA and present it to Nazri as a farewell present!

Jason Ong, ISA was meant for the times when Communist was active and now it has been missused against all. Unfortunately opposition politicians are the main detainess. Did you forget about the reporter and Teresa Kok who were detained under ISA for things they did not said and did not do?
You call that fairness? Is ISA to be used for that? So what if Mamakutty is till around to rule...people will still go to the streets....dont forget people went to the streets when he detained Anwar under the banner of Reformasi...so what???? It did happen and the poeple are no dumbos and have a mind of their own....and are not blind unlike some.
ISA must go and in a modern society, democracy must be upheld and if you have a case against someone, take him to court but dont lock up for years without any trials. ISA say that a detainee can be detained at the wish of the Home Minister for 2 years and renewable after that and thats why many were detained for more than the 2 years.
Jaosn, look at the ISA as itself and you can see its not a fair and just law at all and thats why we must repeal it.
BN will still form the federal government after the next GE. I am willing to bet on this with anyone. Unless PR is able to win votes of people from Sabah and Sarawak. ISA? Haiya!
