Backdoor Deputy President Liow Tiong Lai?

Gloomy faces
Politics can be a funny business. Liow has urged embattled MCA President Ong Tee Keat to accept the verdict of the EGM and to resign as promised.

However, it appears that the once ally of the president is now eager to hold on to the deputy president position although he was only probably elected by a handful of CC members.

If Liow has any backbone, he should practice what he has preached to Ong and not accept the appointment. Going forward is going to erode his personal credibility.

The same goes to the four appointed CC members who were sacked by Ong earlier today. They should accept the reality in politics - they should always support the person who appointed them to their respective position. This is real politik.

Going into the CC meeting, Ong has to ensure that he has a mathematical advantage in case a vote is being called to allow fresh elections in the party. Ong has learned a valuable lesson from his dispute with Chua.

A leader has to know when to conserve his energy and consolidate his position before going for a kill. His inability to kill off Chua had created an opportunity for his closest ally to nearly finish him off.

There are a few lessons for Liow too. He should not be too eager to fill the gap too soon. Ong would have supported Liow's leadership of MCA if the latter did not betray him. Internal sources related how Ong was adamant to quit until it became clear to him that Liow was slowly building up pressure for him to retreat.

The biggest loser in the whole dilemma is Liow. Not the Chinese community. Whatever the outcome of the party leadership tussle, the leadership still has an enormous task trying to convince the community to support them.

What we have witnessed in MCA is real politik at work.

The stupid idiot showed his hand too early! And for such stupidity he has no right to claim leadership of a party supposedly looking after the interest of the community.

I'm sure there are plenty more from the community who would have played this hand better! Not to mention the one who had already "lost his pants" but somehow now back at the game table because of more stupidity by the membership at large.

I think I know where you are coming from KKP but don't be sullied by their stupidity through association!

I think you are cleverer than half of MCA's delegates combined so leave them to their own stupidity and concentrate on the bigger picture of a better Malaysia.

My personal opinion is that these people can blow themselves to kingdom come but somehow civil society must remain unscathed and intact!

Lets face reality and not be niave. Do you think that the 3 gentlemen,OTK,CSL and LSK did not confide with Najib before they stick their tongue out? EGMs,AGMs,ROS,Injunctions,Appeals...etc.will lead to nowhere.Do you think OTK and CSL trust each other? Do you think Liow, those sacked and the 'third force'will just sit back and relax? I think I will sit back, relax and watch the show.

Liow was planning a back door entry to become President through a coup at the CC level. Now he realised he lost his CC majority he cried for another fresh round of election. He is now the big loser as he was checkmate by Ong & Chua. In all honesty a new election would have been the best outcome to choose for a new leadership to helm MCA. Liow should have agreed with Ong at the beginning and he may be the winner. Now he is a goner.

I don't think OTK EVER wanted to let go his partner. He's willing to sleep with his sworn enemy and go back on his words than resign. I think he's a master of twisting words to make him looked like a victim.

Still remember what goes on after the 10/10 EGM? He never wanted to have a PC instead relied on his blog as his mouth piece! Where is the credibility. From that day onwards.... I've loss whatever trust and respect that I still have for this old fox.

Liow may be a bit too naive in the political game but I think the biggest player is OTK himself. To me, he's the real loser!

They should make a TVB drama out of this. Power, revenge, betrayal, sex, semua ada. Cayalah MCA!

He should have learned from Anwar. Don't be so impatient.

Prostitution ~ world's oldest profession.

Everyone knows these so-called leechy MCA leaders do not have the true heart and intentions to serve chinese community and they are so pretentious of having the majority support. Everything is being camouflaged in the name of serving the Chinese and fighting for their rights. SIG (Self Interest Gain) is the name of the whole political game. It is so sickening. Anyway, now who cares about MCA other than their own members only. A strong and undivided support for PR for a change, change that is a must for whatever happens. We need to end the political stigma of POWER & MONEY rules.

Say NO to MCA!
A vote for MCA is the vote to UMNO.

Chinese people are one funny lot. They can stand robbers, murderers, con men and everything else. But they just cannot stand turncoats who stab their boss at the back.
Ask any jail birds and you get the same answer.

And the triads, the taikors, the godfathers WILL NOT forgive or support these guys anymore. It is as good as spineless.

Nothing gonna change as we can see the way things are going.

Last year, in the thick of the Sodomy II affair when Saiful Bukhari had reportedly been examined at the Hospital Besar KL, Liow, in his capacity as health minister, said something (I don't remember exactly what) so disgusting and repugnant I instantly wrote him off as another spineless MCA eunuch, who only knows how to bodek his Umno bosses. Since then I have been hoping to see his political career come to an abrupt end - so your report gives me some satisfaction... even if I couldn't care less for Chua Soi Lek or Ong Tee Keat. As far as I'm concerned the best thing that ever came out of MCA was this spoof song produced by the Comedy Court.

why can't LTL and team accept the unity plan ? What are they afraid of ? Why create so many things and still fighting. This was not shown before the EGM when they are supposedly on the side of OTK. Where were them when OTK was besieged as a result of the PKFZ issue ?
Any people with rational mind will understand what LTL and team are up to .

Don't be too itchy when you are not a MCA member! Spend more time on your party which is facing internal problems.
