No One is Willing to Prosecute Lingam? Sack All Legal Officers in the AG Office to Save Tax Payers' Money

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Nazri Aziz said that Bukit Gelugor MP Karpal Singh can represent the Attorney-General (A-G) and prosecute controversial lawyer V.K. Lingam.

Nazri stressed that the government has no reason to defend Lingam and that veteran lawmaker can charge him.

“If Karpal is willing to represent the A-G, I will persuade the AG to engage Karpal to prosecute on the behalf of the government,” he told reporters at the parliament lobby here. “Let him charge ... the government has no reason to defend Lingam.”

Nazri should propose the government to do another thing - sack all those legal officers in the AG office if none is found capable or willing to prosecute Lingam despite the royal commission found strong evidence against him.

Nazri should help to save tax payers' money or stop monkeying around with this scandal. No wonder Malaysia is seen as more corrupt than ever.

According to the report, "Malaysia now ranks 56 out of 180 countries in the world with a corruption index score of 4.5 out of 10, with 10 being the least corrupt, said the world corruption watchdog. Last year, it placed 47 with a CPI score of 5.1."

The annual TI CPI measures how corrupt a country is in the public sector based on data sourced from 13 different polls and surveys from 10 independent institutions over a period of two years.

The government must not drag its feet on huge financial scandals such as the PKFZ, the Ipoh double tracking project, the Auditor General's report on financial abuses and others. A lack of action will render its own KPIs useless and irrelevant.

Both KPI ministers, Koh Tsu Koon and Idris Jala, must take this report seriously. It is time for the government to be held accountable for tolerating these abuses and corruption.

I'm surprised it didn't go lower.. the judges ruling on the Perak constitutional crisis is too obviously lopsided not to be seen as prostitution of the judiciary. That alone should have brought the index closer to 3 or 2. 4.5?? it should have been 5.1 minus 4.5!

That's mischievous of Nazri! I agree, seriously the AG and the whole lot of them be sacked for dereliction of duty!

Whenever this moron open up his mouth, the more stupidity will surface. What are the AG guys paid with our tax monies been doing? Just sleeping on their job?
Malaysia Truly Jokers Land.

After talking to my friend who works in Jakarta, I can only conclude that Malaysia is more corrupt than Indonesia. In Indonesia, top govt officers go to jail for corruption. In Malaysia, corruptors and murderers are protected.

What is the point of asking Karpal to prosecute when the judges remain as cowards and stooges for the government?

i truly believe that the TI report was prepared before the stupid Nazri informed on the governments intention to let Lingam go. If the report was prepared with this in mind, i believe the drop will even be worse.

This Nazri is not competent as a public officer(Minister). How can he say such thing as to push the responsilibity to other. What are those guys in the AG's office doing? or is it Nazri trying to save his own balls?

The lower the ranking, the lower the inflow of investment into this country. If the rakyat still vote back the idiots into the govt, then let this place rot. When they suffer even more, then they'll realise how stupid they are voting the robbers in GE after GE. Maybe then they'll resolve to change the govt.

But I'm, not sure who will be around to govrn by that time because the good people with brains would have migrated and the opposition leaders would have all been put into Kamunting~~!!!

Truly this Nazri is good for nothing but talk without substance ... he must go as well. For those AG people, by default they SHOULD resign or be fired. When the normal people in whole world know that Lingam must be arrested, these people in AG are just like idiots without balls and intelligence who could not rise up to act for justice! Leave and go back to plant jagung! You all are not suitable to earn buta gaji from the rakyat's hard-earned money!!

This suggestion from Nazri is a poisonous trap for the opposition.
Please stay away and let justice takes its course.

Why try to pass the buck around
When we know where the buck should stop
When will justice stand again on solid ground
If its standards are continuously allowed to drop

Let Karpal prosecute.

And Nazri can be VKL's defence counsel. Haven't you notice he has been putting in a lot of practise?

Let the show begin.

hey, King Singh , pls take it !

Even if Karpal is to prosecute. The final decision is up to the judge. Your guess is as good as mine on the decision of the judge, How to make sure the judge is not correct, correct, correct also. Drastic action must be tkaen by the rakyat. Anyway I will still support this 'foot in the mouth' idea from a Moron. Hope that he will keep his word.

I prefer to support Nazri...i admire him because his words and attitute show the originality of typhical UMNO minister. He is a good joker, he make himself a "bozo" so that everyone can have a smile in their face. I wonder how he was brought up.

Are we all merely puppets on a string
When we see the kind of justice some bring
Reviewing the source where it springs
From can we still feel the hidden sting?
