Zahrain's Parliamentary Antics & MP's Responsibility

Bayan Baru voters must be feeling really frustrated and disappointed with the MP Zahrain Hashim's parliamentary antics.

The ex-PKR leader has been using his parliamentary privilege to launch personal attacks against his former party leaders and to wash some dirty linen.

He had named eight MPs, whom he claimed were ready to jump ship in the opposition’s bid to takeover the government on Sept 16, 2008. They were Datuk Seri Abdul Ghapur Salleh (BN-Kalabakan), Datuk Seri Anifah Aman (BN-Kimanis), Datuk Bung Moktar Radin (BN-Kinabatangan), Datuk Chua Soon Bui (Independent-Tawau), Datuk Eric Majimbun (Independent-Sepanggar), Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi (BN-Batu Pahat), Datuk Seri Tengku Azlan Sultan Abu Bakar (BN-Jerantut) and Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah (BN-Gua Musang).

Tengku Razaleigh has refuted his claims today.

Zahrain claimed that there was a link between online newspaper MalaysiaKini and Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK)’s news portal with the opposition and urged the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission to probe into it.

He is expected to make more allegations in the coming days. It is not surprising that Zahrain is using his parliamentary immunity to run various allegations against his former colleagues.

Zahrain's action has two implications. First, it reflects an inherent weakness in the Pakatan leadership. This is something the coalition must correct before the next general election.

Second, it reflects badly on Zahrain's position as an elected representative. His elected position is not personal. He is accountable for his action and behaviour in the parliament. He should use his debating time to focus on key issues such as socio-economic policy, GST, strategy to address economic malaise, abolishment of ISA, inter-ethnic relations, Penang's development and others.

Zahrain wants us to respect his position and rights as a member of parliament. He has to first respect the wishes and expectations of his voters.

Zahrain's unparliamentary behaviour should be severely criticized by groups monitoring the performance of parliamentarians.

Come on, what can you really expect from pariah politicians? They don't have any brain to start with. Their only skills seem to be "angkat bola" (carry balls and spew venom.

my simplest question here....when speaker is not giving chances to opp MPs to talk real issues affecting to common man on street....how come he allowed this crap to talk so much irrelevent things? .... hypocracy of highest standard..

This Zahrain must have realised his term as MP is probably the last because no party will field him nor will he win any election on his own. So he might as well bring down someone or his former party along with him. I wouldn't be surprised if his next target is LGE.

i am a voter of bayan baru and yes i'm damn mad at zahrain! he did betrayed our trust when he left PKR and become an independent.

and now this... he speaking crap in parliament! you are right khoo, he should use his MP time in parliament to speak up on important issues instead of attacking people. he's turning parliament into a circus! MPs attacking each other instead of debating/talking on important issues that affect the state/country.

by his action in parliament, he only serves to made us even angrier... and he dare, no shame!... to say he represent us bayan baru voters.

Just ONE word to describe him..."NO STANDARD".He will be a goner in the next GE for sure.

This corrupted, greedy and unethical dickhead "Z" whenever he opens his stinking, foul mouth, shit comes out.
Most of the rakyat in his constituencies do not want him. Yet he claim to still represent them and have so thick a skin to remain as MP.
If he claim he is so popular, then resign and stand for by-election.
Sadly, he has zero guts and hide behind his UMNO masters for protection. You are NOT FIT, I repeat NOT FIT to be an MP. Perhaps, a big fat arse clown playing with monkeys in a circle suits you well.

Right thinking People of Bayan Baru, Don't just whine about your anger in the web, ACTION speaks louder than words!

Start a committee and organize campaigns - signatures, local constituency gatherings, etc to TELL IT to this REP that the people in Bayan Baru voted for the party and not for this slime ball who thinks bloody highly of himself.

Your campaigns must be done every month - to drum into Zahrain's thick skull that he is despised by the people of Bayan Baru. This will send signal to this fler that he is a pariah MP for selling out the trust of the people.

Hey, you don't need to explain in parliament the reason/s why you left PKR!!

Sounds funny, isn't it. Do you need to explain to Parliament when you joined PKR previously?

It smells fishy here, my dear. Memang ada sesuatu yang tak kena. Hang baru tahu.

We have so many seasoned politicians who could not see this ploy:- Do you by law need to explain in Parliament. I just think we do not use brains to not decipher this fishy intention of an irresponsible move to discredit others who no longer see eye-to-eye with another person.

Other than him, only God knows what is behind. Hey MPs, please wake up to sense and rationality.

these pariah PR bloggers are so dumb that you comment based on hearsay and not facts! even if u guys have the facts,it mustve been distorted facts just like how your fucking racist DAP sec gen LGE always do. piece of shit and bloody spinmaster who will always continue to cheat lie and make the ppl confuse. for example even the petition for Zahrain to step down was a big lie as only 1500 petitions are genuine. and he got the votes from 28000 voters. why dont you guys get 20000 signatures then u can talk..

Dirty and pariah politics has been a big problem in Msia lately since PR came into power in few states and fail to deliver. these dirty politics is used to cover up their weaknessess in governing therefore it is important for zahrain to explain to the nation on the pariah acts by PR. only u idiots cant see it talking as if u own Malaysia and talkin as if most malaysians r behind PR!

goodluck DAP n PR! sinking ships with many racist cunts!
