22 UMNO Youth Divisions Acting Silly by Lodging Police Report Against Tony Pua

A total of 22 Umno youth divisions in Selangor lodged police reports simultaneously against Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua.

Selangor Umno Youth information chief Sufarizul Mustafa said the reason for the police reports were due to the MP’s suggestion recently to scrap the discount for bumiputras when purchasing commercial properties and luxury homes in the state.

"The MP's suggestion can be considered insensitive and provocative in nature.

"It also challenges the Article 153 of the Federal Constitution (which safeguards the special position of Malays and bumiputra) and is an offence under the Sedition Act," said Sufarizul.

In the old school Umno's politics, Sufarizul and his division leaders are expecting to receive a pat on their back. Unfortunately, in today's political reality, Sufarizul and his division leaders are acting silly and childish.

Umno of the past was protecting poor Malay farmers and general workers. It was a voice of the downtrodden. Interestingly Sufarizul and his colleagues are now championing and protecting the rich.

Sufarizul should have taken up causes such as anti-corruption, the provision of low cost houses, employment, access to good education, crime prevention and affordable healthcare which would have direct benefit to the poor and low income Malay families.

Is Sufarizul helping or destroying Umno's credentials?

Let's find out if the police are equally silly to investigate Tony.

I was thinking as I read your posting and right at the end I am asking the same question:

Let's find out if the police are equally silly to investigate Tony.

I can add that they will investigate and try to help umno to find something to pin down on Tony.

They should go make a million police reports. They do have nothing to do, you know.

These UMNO guys should come to Taman Tun Hussein Oon Cheras and see why so many many rich malays staying in big bungalows driving big cars SHOULD NOT NEED to be given the discounts, whereas the minority non-malays mostly stay in normal double-storey terrace houses have no discount.THE RIGHT THING TO DO IS TO TAKE AWAY THESE RICHMEN'S DISCOUNT AND GIVE THEM TO THE POOR MALAYS WHO STAY IN FLATS(yes,Double discount to the poor).Don't worry the poor non-malays wont dare to touch these giveaway discount lest they get scolded by pekasa/umno for stealing their rights.

A question I want to ask-does the constitution mentioned about this special discount for purchasing properties by bumiputras? From what I understand, the safeguardings of the bumiputra interest are in terms of business, employment, education and licenses. So,is that seditious by suggesting the abolishment of discount for bumiputra for high- end property? If the bumiputra can afford to buy the high-end property, then he should not be in the category of bumiputras that require this subsistance.

Come to think of it....

WHAT have this UMNO Youth organization done for "THEIR" own people???

Article this & article that! WHAT about their own article????????????

Aren't they "suppose" to look into their troubled youths (heaps of them), helping & getting aid for the x-treamly poor, "YOUTHS" getting pregnant & the male species getting away with it all the time, drug addicts, etc..., etc.........

There are so much for them to do. Instead they set their sights on things that that Ibrahim feller should be doing!

This Youth thingy set-up is for what? They are supposed to help & guide the youth of this generation & the next.

Don't know arr......???

Whether its one or twenty two police reports makes no difference. These divisions are just stooges.Who is behind the scene?? Your guess is as good as mine.

The matters you describe are but a microcosm of the world at large where the wealthy get richer to the detriment and shame of the poor. It is good that you highlight the obvious injustice and above all the hypocracy.

Please go to read this blog site'Loyar Burok' under the article"Omong Dusta 'Hak Melayu'" which is dated 5/8/2010.
In it is explained clearly that the privilege of discount for property purchase is not enshrined in article 153 of the Constitution, but it is the product of the NEP(New Economic Policy). This NEP is implemented by the previous PM in the effort to bring economic and social balance in the country. In this case, the NEP can be abolished(by the parliament if they want to).So what is so seditious in calling, just for the abolishment of special discount for high-end property purchase? Please be rational!

Those UMNO guys(Sufarizul and the gang of 22 divisions)are hot-headed!Very Irrational!
Please understand that the special discount for property purchase is the product of the NEP(which is implemented and passed by the Parliament)and nothing to do with Article 153 of the Constitution. So,to call for the abolishment of this special discount,in only for high value properties,is that so seditious?

Another bunch of racialistic, no brain, so called rights protector of the malay race idiots from UMNO. No wonder, the country is economically in a mess with foreigners and even local investors went overseas rather than waste their investment on such idiots in Bolehland.
They behave and think the whole damn world owes them a living and only they have their rights while other minority races rights have been trampled by them.

This is not silly.

Article 10 Federal Constitution

4. In imposing restrictions in the interest of the security of the Federation or any part thereof or public order under Clause (2) (a), Parliament may pass law prohibiting the questioning of any matter, right, status, position, privilege, sovereignty or prerogative established or protected by the provisions of Part III, Article 152, Article 153 or Article 181 otherwise than in relation to the implementation thereof as may be specified in such law.

and further ------>

This provision of Article 10 gave birth to the the this provision of Section 3(1) Sedition Act

(f) to question any matter, right, status, position, privilege, sovereignty or prerogative established or protected by the provisions of part III of the Federal constitution or Article 152, 153 or 181 of the Federal Constitution.

There no need for me to explain here why NEP came to be. (of which everybody knew of 13th May incident) Suffice to say without Article 153 NEP cannot be implemented. The Parliament cannot pass any policy without any specific provision of law. Thus NEP was passed by the power of the provision of Article 153 of the Federal Constitution. Without article 153 NEP would be an ultra-vires policy.

In return NEP gave birth to more rights and privileges through various laws and by-laws, regulations and rules and one of them is the bumiputra discount on the housing ownership.

Thus in this issue for Tony Pua to question the bumiputra discount meaning he is questioning the NEP of which this policy was passed by an act of Parliament empowered by the Article 153 of Federal Constitution which over and above as good as he is questioning the Article 153 of Federal Constitution itself of which is an offence under the provison of section 3 of the Sedition Act. This is the law of the land.

Therefore the police report made by these people against this Tony Pua is justified and has merit. Not Silly at all.

-- Homo Sapien of 11:38 and Cow Sense of 11:46 am

and to say NEP has nothing to do with Article 153 is wrong. Next time dont sleep during history classes.

Everything non Malays say about justice that touch on Malays is seditious! I had an accident and clearly a Malay was in a wrong and a Malay man came forward and argued for him.

These UMNO goons are downright racists that had blinded them on what is right and what is wrong. If one day a government of the day had a law which is unfair to them, then will they still protect the law? Blind fools!

To talhah,
Commom sense will tell you that the rich malays still need this 'tongkat'? Please be fair. The rich malays already achieved their economic status,by being able to buy expensive property, you still want to enjoy special discount?Every citizen of this country toiled for their living, earning their own income and pay taxes,so why should only one race(especially the rich ones)be given special treatment?

All these so-called guardians of Malays are clearly twisting issues to manipulate and make use of the mass Malays to serve their very own interest, not the latter's which they claim to fight for.

No, the latter are no blind fools. It's just that the issues have been taken out of context and manipulated by the so-called guardians to become super duper sensitive, easily agitating and influencing even the most intelligent at one time or the other, let alone the average laymen.

These people are not only guardians to the Malays, but also pretend to be champions of the Royal families and Islam, as if they're far more superior than the latter two that need their protection.

Trust me, when all these fronts are exhausted, they'll claim themselves to be the guardian of nasi lemak, lontong and satay. They'll confuse the masses further by saying that dim sum, bak kut teh and hainanese chicken rice, or that puttu mayam, capati and muruku were stolen by other races from them.

Now, back to our topic. My fellow Malay countrymen and Mr Policemen in general (rank & file), let's all be frank and honest:

- Are you all well-off or still struggling to make ends meet daily?

- Do you deserve a better life after 53 years of special privileges being accorded to you?

- What and where went wrong? Where have all the wealth and resources of the country allocated to you gone to after 53 years, if not you?

- Why many of those so-called guardians drive luxury cars and live in expensive houses and mansions, but not you?

- Why many of those so-called guardians live a life of luxury, get to eat at high-end restaurants daily, wear designers' clothing and travel around the world as much as they like, but not you?

You don't need to answer me. Just answer to yourself and see if it's worth being continuously manipulated by your guardians for the next 50 years or so!!!

It's pathetic to read that the rich warlords still insist it's their birthright to discounts without thinking to pass these small discounts to their fellow poor malays (sigh)who will remian poor generations to come..

just look at the amount of energy, aims and direction. UMNO is just talking about race, religion and bring in the royalty. Is this what malaysia is heading? Cambodia and Vietnam is chasing Malaysia up in the standrad of living and deucation. China has passed away ahead of us. In the 60s and 70s, We can look how they wear baggy unisex worker uniform and riding the only bicycles. Now they have fast trains and helping to build the Bakun Dam.
