TBH Inquest: A Classic Case of Nation in Peril

Why a nation in peril? When there is comedy in the court on something as serious as an inquest...
1) MACC Prosecutor Abdul Razak asked Thai pathologist Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand if she had come to “to attack the MACC".

2) "Did you know that the university that you graduated from is not recognised in Malaysia?" he asked, eliciting disgruntled murmurs from the gallery.

3) Abdul Razak next had the gallery groaning in disbelief when he suggested that Teoh had strangled himself and was "depressive".

4) Abdul Razak riled up those in the gallery further by suggesting to Pornthip that her report was "based on her imagination".

5) He then puzzled the court when he stated, "If (Teoh) was unconscious, his body would be heavier."

6) In an effort to make his point, he asked if Pornthip has any experience jumping off a building.

Many of us would be tempted to ask if Abdul Razak was drunk, trying to be funny or plainly unqualified, arrogant and silly.

Pornthip calmly said: "I am here to defend the rights of the dead. Not for the Selangor government or anyone."

This is a statement many local politicians, prosecutors, law enforcement officers and those holding high public positions should ponder and take heart - your duty is to protect and defend the rights of the people.

Abdul Razak should stop embarrassing the nation and his profession by focusing on the factual and scientific evidence on the case. His duty is not to defend/protect the MACC from any wrong doing.

Khoo you are spot on - our non-humble politicians should learn from her " I'm here to defend the rights of the people, not just MY race,my party nor my religion".Doing the right thing is utmost important, playing to the gallery is a stupid bastardisation.

Khoo,

Hear, hear!!! This is a very strong, fair and right statement from Dr Pornthip. Let us send to the Government, Judiciary, Police, AG, MACC, this message on protecting the people; to have integrity and sense of fairness and justice. Do you know what the current hot cases/topics (TBH, PKFZ, Allah, Anwar, etc) lack now? Credibility!!! Think about it; the outcome seem almost predictable.

The arrogance and incompetence of our Malaysians in office has been reflected at so many occassions that I simply so not have faith in the Malaysian system. They made Malaysia the laughing stock of the world and I am really sorry for TBH as justice is hard to come by in this country.

razak was not being stupid.
razak was merely uttering statements (however silly) for utusan to "report as facts".

u wait and see.

This dickhead is the by product from Bolehland so called universities. His self-claimed as a lawyer finally proved to the whole world what type of quality, integrity and professionalism we have in our so called local trained lawyers in Bolehland. Moreover, this bum is a big disgrace to the lawyer profession and made us the laughing stock to the whole world. We can bet Thailand universities are far more professional and qualified than most universities in Bolehland.
One more "MACC, kalau nak tipu orang dapat la yang ada otak sedikit. Razak ini nak cekek diri sendiri pula, tengok mati tak."

Mr. Khoo K.P.,
Just an observation from experience.
A dead body is always 'seems heavier' and cannot be removed until the next of kin or a priest is present to pacify the dead. Razak might have got the report that 'mayat banyak barat'is correct. How about this conclusion ecitino?

Well....Razak said: " I'll never let a bloody fool like you talk in this court!!".

Dr.Porntip: " Well...I always do! !!!...you can go ahead now!!..."

Genuine product of NEP and Ketuanan policy.

Razak will be bestowed with a "Tan Sri" for a job well done. Thats the modus operandi most well received in Malaysia.

"Did you know that the university that you graduated from is not recognised in Malaysia?"

For many years we knew all along that this was the quality of Malaysian education. It is no surprise that we get prosecutors, judges, law enforcers with no inkling of facts and cannot even separate white from black.

Former graduates and alumni who used to talk big about UM, UKM, USM, and all other local unis must be worried that very soon, their qualification will be nothing more than expansive toilet paper hanging on their walls.

A.Razak is the product of "Malaysia Boleh"

Razak is suitable as a footstool for great lawyers like Karpal Singh.
This man will never match any great Malaysian lawyer in a 100 years. He is fit for MACC.

Me! I'm totally flabbergasted. What frightens me is that we may have more bumbling jokers like this lawyer all the way to the top!

However, what I have been hearing from the mouths of our leaders does not pacify my fears!

God bless Malaysia!

I sent this piece of news to all my foreign friends to demonstrate how good this lawyer is. One of them asked me "is this a Just-For-Laugh show?". I am indeed sorry to know that such a distasteful enquiry could happen in our country's courtroom, and the quality of this so-called lawyer. I supposed MCAA must have chosen the best lawyer they can afford, and this is already the best lawyer they can find among themselves.
