Umno's incessant attack on the Penang state government on the RM100 compassionate payment to citizens above 60 years old is pathetic, bigotry and hypocritical.
Lim’s administration has been under attack by Umno in the recent weeks following claims that that the state government used a RM2 million donation from the Penang Turf Club for its poverty-eradication programme.
Following this, 100 senior citizens from Penaga and Bayan Baru has since returned the compassionate payments they received to state Umno leadership.
The state government has vehemently denied the allegations, explaining that the donation was separated from the pool of funds in the state’s Rakan Anti-Miskin (Friends Against Poverty) programme and was channelled only to the non-Muslims.
If Umno is so pious and holy, they should revoke all gaming licenses, pull out their investment from liquor producing companies and stop taking illicit payments from underground night clubs and entertainment outlets.
It is sad that Umno continues to play a dangerous game of inciting hatred and spreading false news.
Where is the president of Umno? Who is leading who?
Pemuda Pulau Pinang should stage demos against unscrupulous tycoons/politicians who are sucking this country's resources until the last drop. Does Umno feel uncomfortable seeing money being given to the poor and underprivileged?

UMNO should force the government to relinquish all taxes gained from gambling and alcoholic companies and give the money back to the rakyat who are non-Muslims only! This will definitely earn them more brownie points from non-Muslims!
Banking slips should have a column indicating hala or non-hala source so that money can go into separate acounts respectively. Banks should also have separate counters for these two classes of money.
These fellas in PPP are sick, real sick. If they feel all that mighty pious about the RM100 issue, then they should have spend more time demonstrating outside the following companies, demanding the resignation of their directors, such as:
1. GENTING BERHAD - Tun Mohammed Hanif bin Omar (Deputy Chairman), Tan Sri Mohd Amin bin Osman (Executive Director) and Dato' Paduka Nik Hashim bin Nik Yusoff (Ind. Non-Exec Director).
2. BERJAYA CORP (Sports Toto) - Dato' Azlan Meah bin Haji Ahmed Meah (Executive Director), Dato' Sulaiman bin Mohd Noor; Tan Sri Datuk Abdul Rahim Bin Haji Din

There are many more MNCs with Malay bumis as directors. Where do you think their salaries come from? It is disgusting that these PPP fellas should take advantage of the simple Malay folks, and if that is not bad, the good intention of the Penang State government has been made to appear that Lim Guan Eng and his team was out to con the Malay folks into committing a sin. These UMNO fellas are simply pathetic and heartless.

Umno never claimed to be the saint. It was LGE and gang who took the moral high ground and were dead against sports betting, purportedly on moral grounds.

Our exPm stated that 80% of taxes collected are from non-bumis.Part of that is certainly derived from gaming and other vices.
Mosques,hospitals and other infra structures were built with duit haram even sholarships and civil servant salaries are paid for from taxes.

These Penang UMNO leaders are running out of ideas to belittle the Penang government. If the RM100 handout is haram,then what about the taxes collected from gaming companies,liquor factories,turf clubs? Are they not haram? How sure are you that these money is not used to build roads,bridges,public utilities,schools,hospitals,etc....
So don't use these amenities-lah!Bodoh!

The RM100 does not come from any gambling funds, whereas government salary, including all civil servants and muhyiddin's and his likes could be from taxes from gambling.

Taxes from gaming activities and duties on alcohol should be abolished immediately then.
With this, at least the very intended group of people, ie non-Muslims, would benefit from it directly instead of going one big circle segregating halal and non-halal sources of income which only serves to increase the already tedious admin work of the govn.
