More Hypocrites in Pakatan Compared to Barisan?

It seems to me that there are more hypocrites in Pakatan than Barisan. Remember ex-Pakatan MPs such as Wee Choo Keong, Zahrain, Tan Tee Beng and others? I believe these ex-Pakatan MPs had pledged their commitment to bring change to Malaysia when they offered themselves to the electorates in the last general elections.

They had criticized and deplored Barisan's excesses, weaknesses and ills. What had happened to these MPs? They are now Barisan friendly.

Remember another ex-PKR leader, Zaid Ibrahim? He did something honourable when he resigned as a minister to protest against the use of ISA against politicians and reporters. He had resigned from PKR after he was edged out from the party deputy president race.

Now, there is another PKR leader, N. Gobalakrishnan, who attacks his party for neglecting the Indian community and alleged that the community is suffering worse compared to during Barisan rule. Gobala was angry because another greenhorn politician/lawyer, Surendran, was appointed Vice President of PKR and not him.

The main problem with the ex and some current Pakatan leaders is a lack of sincerity in their struggle. Great leaders who had fought for a true freedom and liberation of their community and nation did not quarrel over political position or self interest.

Nelson Mandela did not fight against apartheid hoping to be made a president. Mahatma Gandhi did not oppose the British colonial power because he wanted to become a prime minister. Aung San Sukyi did not lead a democracy movement against the junta because she wanted to become a head of government. These leaders wanted to strive for something genuine - real democracy & justice - for their people.

What is left of the commitment to real change in these Barisan friendly MPs? Is Zaid willing to sacrifice his time, commitment and personal freedom to ensure that draconian acts such as ISA, OSA, PPA and others are repealed? Is Gobala willing to donate all his MP's earning to the poor Indians and stand up against the real oppressor?

At least Barisan leaders and MPs do not conceal their real intention. From Najib to Chua Soi Lek, they had admitted publicly that the race based political model is here to stay at least for another 100 years. At least Najib did not hide the fact that he was willing to dangle the financial carrot to lure voters to vote for his party. He did not hide the fact that NEM is the new NEP.

Barisan government did not and will not apologize for Malay supremacy, 'Allah' ban, corruption e.g. PKFZ and a lack of action against it, alleged tempering and emasculation of public institutions, custodial deaths, abuse of power, lack of accountability, poor management of public funds etc.

Hence, are there more hypocrites in Pakatan than Barisan?

The only real reason why there are so many hypocrites in Pakatan is that these hypocrites were given the false impression by the mother of all liars, lusty Anwar, that he was going to 'take over' the government.
And when that did not happen they realised that their dreams and hopes of bung part of the gravy train were not going to become reality they then began to jump ship for greener pastors.
While some of them who has nothing to hope for are clinging onto their dreams and hopes that they will still become some body when lusty Anwar illusion to take over from the corrupted Umno led government eventually. To these hypocrites all I can say is to keep dreaming after all dreams are free while you are still asleep ! After all there is nothing else for these hypocrites to go to.
So keep dreaming and may be these hypocrites should eat more radish to keep on dreaming !

Mr. Khoo, I understand what you want to say but I think your comparison is not so accurate. In politic, the event should look at case by case. Policies is straight forward but implementation is questionable. This is UMNO-BN. Policies and implementation is no same. 'Say one thing, do one thing'. Rakyat is F-ed with this leaders, happen to be our minister. What about maid-rape-case? Rapist will be FREE!

I hope more of these hypocrites will surface now so that we can cleanse PR of these illed leaders so that when PR took over Putrajaya, the new government will face less of these hypocrites and govern the country smoothly.

Yes, there are more hypocrites.

And the point being what Mr Khoo ? the question you failed to ask is this -> Is being a hypcorite worse than being totally evil and corrupt ?

Better the devil you know, than the one you don't. Malaysians are screwed either way since both BN and PR are devils. What we need are some angels.

What the MCLM candidates do is bring in some needed fresh air and set the benchmark for MPs. I do hope that some of them will end up being elected MPs in the future.

We should throw some support behind these candidates. At least, they seem to be people who 'walk the talk' as compared to those who just talk.

Hypocrites???

This is in regard to the Kampung Baru Kuala Lumpur issue.

From Dr Lo Lo's Blog: "RANG UNDANG-UNDANG PERBADANAN PEMBANGUNAN KAMPUNG BARU HAKIS HAKMILIK MELAYU DI KAMPUNG BARU"

From Blogger A: "NEW LAW WON'T PROTECT KG BARU'S INTERESTS, WARNS PAS MP"

From Blogger B: "NON-MALAYS WILL TAKE OVER KAMPUNG BARU, WARNS PAS MP"

The real issue as per Dr Lo Lo is about the possibility of The Malay Agricultural Settlement Enactment being repealed and replaced by a new Act. The statement that she made which may be interpreted as if implying Malay Supremacy is this ".... memang benar-benar ingin menggadai dan menjual tanah orang Melayu di Kampung Baru kepada orang asing". Her concern is that when the category of Kg Baru land is changed from Malay reserve to non-Malay reserve, the Malays attracted to the higher value of the land will sell their land to "orang asing", and only to know later that when they divide the money among the kindred/beneficiaries, they would not be able to buy even a studio apartment in Kampung Baru then.

Dear Mr. Khoo, it's obscene to put Mandela and Ghandi in the same article with the names of Zahrin and the rest of them. These running dogs should only be mentioned in articles condoning virtues for bribery, betrayal and immoral and unethical excess...Pigs in Slop....

Political hypocrites will exist as long as there is money to be made. Hypocrites are also opportunists who take advantage of loopholes like vacancies for nomination to be elected as MP's or ADUN. Once elected their price will appreciate many times over their original investment as a candidate.

This opportunity arises because during the last GE the rakyat were fed up with BN and their component parties. This hypocrisy will exists even in BN when Pakatan takes over the Federal Government. Then we will see BN froggies.

What's is common denominator then ?
Money and the lust for big bucks as well as power to decide what and who the contracts are to be awarded and state riches to be reaped.

You can witness this common theory of frogging happening when BN loses its Federal Government's control.

This was evident just immediately after the last GE where several BN MP's were about to jump ship on seeing that PR was on track to Putrajaya .

Dear Mr. Khoo, please do not compares these self interest opportunists to great people like Nelson Mandela and Ghandi, they are not worthy of the comparison and is an insult to the truly principled visionaries.

Would just pray hard that there would be no hypocrites in MCLM.

Hypocrites are people who say one thing and do another.

PKR shouts, "Reformasi! Reformasi!" but cheat in election.

That's hypocrisy!

Sang Kancil Guru said...

Khoo Kay Peng, to be fair, you should also question Anwar Ibrahim why is it that there was so much cheating and fraud going on in the PKR elections, including heavy-handed interventions by Anwar Ibrahim to ask PKR leaders to not give votes/nominations to Zaid Ibrahim and Chegubard? I think Zaid still did an honorable thing the 2nd time when he resigned from PKR, out of principle with not staying with a party that preaches one thing, but practices fraud & lack of respect for its own party constitution. Be a Straight Talker as you claim. Question Anwar Ibrahim as well.

Are you suggesting the vile BN policies and corrupt leaders are better than Pakatan's self-ambitious leaders?

Sorry but you have failed to explain what your definition of a hypocrite is and how you decide who is a hypocrite.

There is nothing hypocritical about what those Pakatan leaders have done..they have shown themselves as self-serving and prepared to torpedo the Pakatan coalition.

Any opposition hypocrite is still better than those BN ones.

Your comparison is misguided.

So if all the PAKATAN "hypocrites" had declared their real intentions then there would be no problem?

I think you got it wrong this time. More hyprocrites in Pakatan? The real reason is wrong cos there are more hyprocrites in Barisan Nasional. Why and How come? Cos in Pakatan the leadership chooses or appoint or elect leaders who have love for the Rakyat. Of course those who came into Pakatan are wx-BN, just like this Gobala.Zaid was ex-UMNO. In BN they are taken care of and given positions even they are not capable. Due to massive corruptions, they all have a share and nothing to complain. It is the Rakyat that are suffering. Only when the corruption is stopped by Pakatan if they took over the Federal Government (change of government in GE13?), then you will see how many of BN leaders will jump ship. Then you can say wow..so many hyprocrites from BN or in BN!

To be fair, not all politicians are hypocrites. But those who are, will say one thing, and do the other. Some have more words than action.

Even before the 13GE has arrived, their true colors have surfaced; crocking on the mark to a start of a festival of frogs.

But some frogs are also opportunists who aim at the slightest movement in the air; strapping its tongue in mid-air hoping to catch the juiciest deal.

These hypocrites and opportunists may not know who they are but we voters must be discerning, disciplined, and didactic in view of the advent of 13GE.

Mr. Khoo,

I know Tan Tee Beng personally. To say that he was committed to bringing change to Malaysia when he contested the last GE is just like saying his father has noi white hair.

Are you sure you know what you are talking?

LOL
